Correct display of start seasons (e.g. This is my story, using Sep 10 ODB with Tampani 2.18 and starting in 2010/11 season, I started out as Manchester United boss (as I always do). In my first season I finished third in the season, with many of my midfielders vastly underperforming and the defence leaking badly.
The purchase of Gianluigi Buffon shored up the defence. And in my second season the midfield sorted itself out. I also reached the Champions League Final in my first season, but ultimately lost to Barcelona. Following this, I went on to win 3 consecutive league titles and 2 consecutive Champions Leagues (lost in the final again in my fourth season), the third league title being made into a domestic treble with the winning of the League and FA Cups. By this point I was getting a bit bored of the game and yearning for a new challenge, I had hoped the Rochdale job would become available, as theyre my home-town club, but as they were doing ok I instead took over at Oldham Athletic, who had just been relegated to Division Three by a previous manager who had been sacked at the end of 2013/14, so I began my reign at the beginning of 2014/15.
It was a tricky start, because of when I took over, Id already missed the pre-season games so had no chance to look at the team overall before getting into competitive action and I lost a couple of my first games as manager. The board had forecast a respectable league position but with a transfer budget of zero and a lot of disgruntled players in the team. By the end of the first season, Id won Division Three (won by a single point having not reached top spot until the final day of the season) and the Vans Trophy.
In my second season, having been promoted to Division Two, the board gave me the task of battling bravely against relegation but again I finished the season as champions, several points clear of second place. The exact same board prediction came in the third season before I then went on to win the First Division at a canter. Onto my fourth season as Oldham manager, and now managing a Premier League team. Yet again I got the same battle bravely against relegation prediction from my board, although this time I feared the board might be right on the money. After all, this was the top flight now, and that fear was heightened when I won only 1 of my first 6 Premier League games (the last of which was a 5-0 defeat by Man Utd who, frustratingly, had done even better since losing me as manager, having won every league title in that time and broke numerous records in the process). League performances soon picked up though, and before long I was climbing the table.
I even managed to reach second place at one point, although I didnt stay there long. I managed to finish the season in fifth place (I wouldve finished in the Champions League places but for a late-season slump, 5 wins out of the last 16 league games). I did, however, win the FA Cup (a massive achievement I think for a club as small as Oldham). At the end of the 2017/18 season, this is my current strongest team: 41. Sebastien Frey (age 38) 2.
Younes Kaboul (age 32) 3. Joe Jacobson (age 31) 5.
Ciaran Clark (age 28) 29. Adrian Vaughan (age 25) captain 6.
Oscar Gobern (age 27) 7. Adam Rowntree (age 29) 40. Michael Carrick (age 36) 9.

Tony Turner (age 31) regen 10. Marc Pugh (age 31) 18. Robbie Brady (age 25) - £5m record signing This is my league record as manager. This week I had an idea for a new tool, it's still in development but I see no signs so far that it won't work. The tool will allow you to swap two teams between divisions in the same way that zozoa's Team Swap does.
The major difference is that this tool will work on saved game! So if you get bored of managing in a country but really like the squad.
You've built up, you could just swap divisions with a club in the league you'd like to play in. You could even have the ultimate challenge of trying to win every division in every country with the same club!
I have had a basic version working although I still need to fix the finances - that should be easy. I suspect there will be a major problem with using this tool on clubs managed by a human manager though - I don't actually know it will but I assume it will. So it might mean you have to quit the job and add a new manager - but hopefully I'll be able to get around this. Not sure when this will be ready, I seem to have a habit of starting new projects before finishing existing ones, but thought I'd whet your appetites.
